It’s been on my heart for quite some time to be able to give back in some small way. I’ve always been fascinated with Africa (one of my favorite books is The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver) and it’s on my dream board to visit someday.
Well, in reading through some posts, I came across one blogger’s journey to Africa with Compassion International. I’d heard of Compassion, and knew a bit about what they do, but reading the posts and watching the videos about Africa moved me to tears…and to action.
So, on the day before Mother’s Day, I sponsored a little girl.
Her name is Christine and she is from Kenya. She is almost 11, just a few days older than my marriage. And that is where the similarities end.
When I look around I see abundance. How could I not give to another? I am blessed beyond measure. I am blessed to be able to share. Will you share too? Sponsor a child today. Click below.
To your success,
Dr. Laura
P.S. Happy Mother’s Day!
