Okay, a confession here. I haven’t read the Bible through for a very, very long time. I’ve actually wanted to, but have let life get in the way. Well, as I was browsing on the LifeAsMom.com web site this morning, I noticed a post with a challenge to read the Bible in 90 days. Ah ha! My chance for redemption.
Well, I’ve ordered the Bible for the challenge, and because the reading starts today, I’ve downloaded the schedule and will start with my own Bible.
I am so excited about doing this! It’s just what I need right now, and I am looking forward to deepening my relationship with my Heavenly Father. Yes, I’ve wanted to do this for some time, but what I am really yearning for is a deeper understanding and relationship.
I have no intention of just reading through at lightening speed, but rather to read each morning, and then meditate on the words throughout the day. I’ll be highlighting my favorite passages, and hope to make a document with those top favorite verses to memorize. So, it will be an in depth study, but with accountability!
