It’s day 2 of the elimination diet, which by the way, is not really a diet. An elimination “diet” consists of removing foods from your diet that are common allergens. Usually, people go on elimination diets to determine what foods may be causing digestive or other problems.
This was the case for me twice, as I went on an elimination diet after the birth of both of my children, and found out in the process that they were allergic to dairy and soy that I was eating (they were receiving it through breastmilk). After cutting dairy and soy out of my diet, the children were happy campers once again.
So, this is not new to me, and it’s not a diet to lose weight (in fact, the only thing I have ever found that works is Weigh Down for losing weight – lost 35+ lbs and have kept it off for 2 1/2 years so far), but rather it’s an experiment to determine what foods you may have an allergy to.
Day 2 on the elimination diet was this:
Breakfast: Cherry Larabar
Lunch: Lentil Dish (leftovers from yesterday)
Snack: Chocolate Mint LoveForce Bar (raw, organic)
Dinner: Salad with Chicken
Amazingly enough, I was able to duplicate my outstandingly yummy salad with chicken from day 1 again tonight for day 2. I am a happy gal
And, the Lentil Dish tasted just as good today as it did yesterday!
On to tomorrow…day 3
To your success,
Dr. Laura
