Another good day on the elimination diet today. I actually feel great!
And, what’s really more of a surprise is that I am liking almost everything I have tried so far! (And, you can ask my husband, I am generally a picky eater!)
Today’s menu included a new raw bar, the Raspberry Chocolate one by Raw Revolution. I am really quite intrigued, since I don’t generally like ANY nutritional bar, but I have liked ALL THREE of the raw ones I have tried! How about that!
Breakfast: Raw Revolution Raspberry Chocolate Bar
Lunch: Salad with Chicken (organic, pasture-fed)
Snack: Green Juice
Dinner: Salad with Ground Turkey
So, if you notice above, I experimented for the first time with my juicer today, and made a green juice. Green juice is just something that contains some sort of green veggies. For me, the combo today was: kale, celery, granny smith apples, and a lime (all organic, of course). It really wasn’t bad at all, and even my kids drank some! It was quite filling, but did not satiate for long.
My one snafu today – I found a stash of dinner mints that I had received from a recent conference I attended, and without even thinking (probably because I was in a conversation with several other ladies), I just popped those suckers right into my mouth and only after I had finished several did I realize what I had done. Oh well. I really have been good so far except for that!
On to tomorrow…the last day before 21 days of cleansing. And tomorrow also brings another trip to the grocery store for more salad mix and a few other things.
To your success,
Dr. Laura
