After four days of elimination diet, I am now ready to move on to the cleanse portion of the CLEAN program! The difference? It’s easy – smoothie, soup or juice for breakfast and dinner, and lunch is a meal from the elimination diet okay list (the stuff I have been eating for four days).
I’ve eased in to this on purpose, with a few weeks of a half-elimination diet, followed by four days of strict elimination diet, and now the cleanse portion.
So far, I have felt great and I’ve noticed an increase in movement, which for me, is a good thing (not that you really needed to know that!).
On to the cleanse. Today is a tricky day because hubby took me out to dinner for our anniversary, so I at my main meal at dinner instead of lunchtime. But, I was so busy in the morning that I didn’t have any breakfast, either. Not ideal, but that’s how it went.
Here’s the menu today:
Breakfast: nada
Lunch: Peach/Cherry Smoothie with Brown Rice Protein Powder
Dinner: Salad with Chicken (pasture-fed), and Grilled Summer Vegetables
When I got home from dinner, I was hungry again (it was several hours later), and so I tried my hand at making a completely raw dessert from the Ani Phyo cookbook. And, I was surprised again – it was good! Perhaps my taste buds really are changing???
See you tomorrow!
To your success,
Dr. Laura
