CLEAN Round 2, Day 4

It is day 4 of the 21 day CLEAN program, and today was pretty uneventful.

Just like the last round of CLEAN, once you start to get in the rhythm of the days, they just blend together, and become the norm.

The key here is to NOT focus on what you CANNOT have, but instead focus on what you CAN have.

So, I use this opportunity to get creative with my recipes and try out some new variations.  (I’ll be blogging later on how I organize my recipes!)

But alas, today was just another normal day :)

Here’s what I had:

Breakfast – none

Lunch – Lentil Chicken Quesadilla with Homemade Guacamole (does anyone see a pattern here?)

Dinner – Salad (We unexpectedly went out to eat, so I had a salad, no dressing.  I would have had my smoothie that I normally have for dinner at lunchtime, had I known that we were going out to eat earlier in the day.  I wasn’t very hungry, so it was just a small side salad.)

Dessert – I ignored the rules a bit and had a few scoops of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream because we were celebrating.  I’ve learned from my first round of CLEAN not to be so hard on myself, and to aim for as close as I can be to adhering to the rules.  I’ve eaten things that aren’t supposed to be eaten completely on accident before as well, and I just have not let myself get all caught up in perfection, since it probably won’t happen.  I am just going to try my best, and allow for some wiggle room (a celebration was one of them!).

We’ll see if the ice cream messes me up tomorrow!  HA!
