At the beginning of July, I joined Mom’s Toolbox in Reading the Bible in 90 Days.
I was on track for a little while. Then two out-of-town trips happened. And summer with children’s activities happened.
And I got behind. WAY behind.
But, the commitment to finish on time is still there. We have less than one month to go, and I have 721 pages left. As of this morning, I am on page 327. According to Amy, I should be on page 768 today. That’s quite a bit behind.
So, instead of reading 12 pages a day, because we have 26 days left, I need to read 28 pages a day.
But, I am not worried. Why? Because I regularly read books that are 700+ pages in a week, why can’t I do the same with the Bible?
You know, as I have read through, I have really enjoyed the process, and in many parts of the Bible, there is a lot of drama. I had never thought of reading the Bible like a novel before, but it is very fitting. And the entire process is eye-opening. I am learning so much.
So, with children back in school, I have a few hours a day to dedicate to reading, and my plan is to do just that. I will be focused on reading for several hours each day while children are in school, and then again in the late evenings.
I will finish. I will finish on time. I made a promise to God and I have no intention of not following through.
So, there’s the honest truth. Where I am, where I am going.
Each day when I sit down to read, I just read as much as possible. I don’t pay attention to what day I am on (and what day I am supposed to be on), I just read. And God blesses that time.
To your success,
Dr. Laura

I have never heard of reading through the Bible in only 90 days. That’s quite an undertaking but I know you and I know you will successfully finish on time. And, I also know God will bless you as you read and give you revelation to see things you’ve never seen or understood before (He’s very good about that). And, your plan is the best…just read however much you read until you stop and do that again and again…I need to do that! Send me the link to the 90 days, will you? Love you Laura.
Mom, the link is http://biblein90days.org/ to the main organization.
But, I am doing it with Amy @ Mom’s Toolbox http://www.momstoolbox.com/blog/bible-in-90-days-reading-schedule/
