I finished the storage closets!!  Yeah!!

I know you probably were wondering where I had disappeared to for the past few weeks.  I went into the black void called…

Packing and Moving!!

Yes, although I actually DID finish the storage closets weeks ago, I haven’t been able to post them here because I have been packing…and packing…and packing.

But, with the moving day nearing, I still have more packing to do.  And, I must say, I am SO grateful that I have eliminated 7500+ things from my home in the past 15 months!  I can’t even imagine how much worse packing would have been with all of that extra clutter!

Since my husband and I are separating, I am just going through the home one more time (in addition to the two I’ve already done), and picking out what is mine, leaving what is his, and moving on!

But, even though I have eliminated many things, I still have a pile of things waiting downstairs to be sold or given away.  So, although I am moving soon, I’ll still be minimizing for a few more months!  I will be back to the old home a few days a week to clear out things that I will not be moving with me (I will be in a rental home while my home is being built…so I am waiting on moving some of the items until the second move into my new home), and to sort, sell and donate!

Okay, enough about moving…on to the storage closets.

In the process of finishing the closets, I was able to separate my things from my husbands.  Mine are in the small closet.  Let me just refresh your memory on what it looked like before:

Ahhh…so nice!  I threw out 87 items from the closets!  I also shredded another 2 boxes of papers too!

One more thing about moving…I am significantly downsizing (4000 sq ft to 1350 sq ft) in both my rental home and my new home, and I am so excited about it!  No more clutter!  I get to bring over only what I want and need and truly love!  I can’t wait to show you what I’ll be doing with my new home!

In the selling arena, I sold 14 more things on Amazon, 6 items to local buyers, and 55 items to long-distance buyers!!

I’ve also updated my Becoming Minimalist Sale (now everything is listed on Facebook!) and listed some of my craft items on Etsy too!  WHEW!  It’s been a busy few weeks.

Total of items eliminated this week?

• Threw out/Recycled: 87 items and 2 boxes of papers
• Donated/Given: 0 items
• Sold: 75 items

Overall Totals:

• Donated 1,287 items
• Sold 2,849 items
