September Reading List

I’m teaming up again with Jessica @ LifeAsMom to share what books I am reading this year.

To keep it simple, I’ll be listing books in two categories:

1. Books I have finished this year (with the past month’s books marked *)

2. Books I am still reading

Here’s what I’ve been reading since my August update.  Since I am still reading through the Game of Thrones series, I only read three books this month.  I am now on to the fifth and final book!

Breakfast with Joshua Becker from Becoming Minimalist

“You will find more joy in life pursuing less than you will ever find in pursuing more.” – Joshua Becker

A few weeks ago, I have the privilege of hearing Joshua Becker from Becoming Minimalist speak to a group of women about life and simplicity.

Of course I jumped at the chance to go, since Joshua and I are practically neighbors here in Vermont, and he has always been one of my favorite minimalist bloggers.  In fact, Joshua’s book Simplify is one of my all time favorites, and a big part of why I am on a minimalist . . . → Read More: Breakfast with Joshua Becker from Becoming Minimalist

The Story of Stuff

Okay, perhaps I have been under a rock for a while, but I just stumbled across this great video and had to share.  There are some really interesting statistics shared that you might want to know.  Enjoy!

Book Review – Family-Sized Minimalism

Recently, I received a copy of Faith Janes‘ new eBook Family-Sized Minimalism and I must say…I love it!

I know there are many eBooks on the market about minimalist living, but what I love about Faith’s book is that it is focused on living a minimalist lifestyle with a family.

I know when I first started on my minimalist journey, one of my favorite authors on the topic of minimalism was Joshua Becker, because he writes from a realistic family-based perspective.  And that’s what I love about Family-Sized Minimalism too!

It’s packed full of down-to-earth realistic suggestions and ideas . . . → Read More: Book Review – Family-Sized Minimalism

No Regrets

I was forwarded this email yesterday and although I usually ignore these types of emails, the subject caught my attention.  I read through it, and it definitely is worth passing on:

No Regrets
