On one hand, I run an organization and time management coaching company, OrganizeNOW. And, on the other hand, I have a doctorate degree and did research in infectious diseases for years. This lead to my quest on finding healthier alternatives, and discovering Norwex.
I realized long ago that the easiest thing to control is our own environment, namely, our home. We can also control what food we put in our bodies (but that’s a topic for another day…go watch the movie Food, Inc.).
In helping people manage their time, one of the biggest complaints is the regular things . . . → Read More: 10 Steps to Creating a Healthy Home

At the beginning of the week, I started the Clear Out The Clutter Challenge Week, and well, the first change needed was evident very soon after starting.
We started out with a great start working on my office in day 1, but I only got about 1/2 way through the office. Then, day 2 decided to start with the laundry room (in an attempt to stay on schedule) and was excited to finish the laundry room that day.
But, on day 3, I went back into the office, and proceeded to spend the rest of that day and . . . → Read More: Clear Out The Clutter Challenge – Week 1

I’ve been reading over at MoneySavingMom.com (one of my favorite blogs for some great deals), and she recently had a Clear Out The Clutter Challenge.
Well, as you can imagine, as I was looking at her before and after pictures, I was impressed, and inspired. Inspired enough to look around and notice that I need my own “spring cleaning”. So, next week the children are on spring break and we are going to have our very own Clear Out The Clutter Challenge Week!
Now, normally, I would not suggest that you try to declutter your entire home in . . . → Read More: Clear Out The Clutter Challenge Week!

What an amazing adventure the 31 Goals in 31 Days Challenge has been! I have been able to accomplish many things, and while some others are still “works in progress”, overall it was a great experience both personally and in my businesses.
I thought I would recap each of the 31 days so this will be a bit of a long post, and I’ll also let you know how I’m doing now toward these goals and what the outcome was. So, here we go…

In just about everything I do, I am for simplifying. I love decluttering, and reducing stress and chaos. I also aim for the same simplification in my business, and I am always looking for ways to streamline. This allows me to get more done in less time.
As you may know, the internet is full of wonderful information, and it can also be overwhelming, especially for people (like me) who use the internet to market their company, or generate leads for their network marketing business or direct sales business.
Let me ask you,

Ahhh…all of the hard work has finally caught up to me. After working on weekend projects, organizing, decluttering, reading books, calling prospects, working my businesses, recording videos, editing web pages, making gifts, and just accomplishing a LOT of stuff in the past 20 days, I am tired. Happy and productive, but tired (really, this is my own fault, as I have not been sticking to my bedtime).
So, today’s goal is simple. Relax and recharge. I’m going to do something relaxing every week. Whether that is taking a luxurious bubble bath while listening to Beethoven, or taking a . . . → Read More: 31 Goals in 31 Days – Day 21 – Relax and Recharge

Today’s goal is all about organizing. I love to organize, declutter, simplify! So much so that I have noticed that many items on my Master To Do List are organization related.
You may remember that I pulled all of my weekend project ideas out to create a sublist within my Master To Do List, so that it would be easier to see what needs to be done more immediately. Well, now that all of the projects are off the list, I’ve noticed that probably half of what remains is organization related.
So, today’s goal is to pull those . . . → Read More: 31 Goals in 31 Days – Day 20 – Organize

I’ve been having a lot of fun (and getting a lot accomplished) so far with the 31 Goals in 31 Days Challenge. Here’s a recap and update of what I’ve done so far:
Day 1 – The Master To Do List – I’ve accomplished a significant amount of items that were listed here, as well as noticed “themes” of items that need to be done, such as household projects, and training videos that need to be watched.
Day 2 – The Prospect List – I’ve continued to call several people each day, and as a result, have booked . . . → Read More: 31 Goals in 31 Days – Day 9 – Ongoing Learning

Yesterday we had a great time at our family meal for dinner, and I also saw an improvement on my gentle and quiet spirit goal as well. I’ve continued to call prospects, and read a book, and add to my Master To Do List.
So, today’s goal is to declutter. Now, I would actually love to send my entire family away for a week and declutter my entire home, but since that is a bit unrealistic, I’ll settle for decluttering one area a week.
Clutter adds stress and visually brings you down. It definitely drains you emotionally to . . . → Read More: 31 Goals in 31 Days – Day 6 – Declutter

I stumbled across this post today on the Above Rubies site, and just had to pass it along. Even if you are not a woman, or a mother, you can still glean some good information about some common time wasters:
The Telephone.
You can waste hours of time talking and gossiping on the telephone. Not only is it time-wasted, but this is usually when your children get into trouble, or be naughty because they realize the phone has taken mother’s attention away from them.
The TV.
I would rather live life than watch it! Teach your children to . . . → Read More: Top 10 Time Wasters for Women
