31 Goals in 31 Days – The Recap

What an amazing adventure the 31 Goals in 31 Days Challenge has been!  I have been able to accomplish many things, and while some others are still “works in progress”, overall it was a great experience both personally and in my businesses.

I thought I would recap each of the 31 days so this will be a bit of a long post, and I’ll also let you know how I’m doing now toward these goals and what the outcome was.  So, here we go…

31 Goals in 31 Days – Day 12 – The Dream Board

Today’s goal is all about creating or revising your dream board.  But first…

Several hours and three coats of paint later, I finished painting the master bedroom sliding door last night.  And reinstalled the blinds so that my wonderful husband can sleep past sunup.  (I, of course being a mother, can fall asleep anywhere and sleep through broad daylight, children playing, etc.)  Now, I just have to clean and paint the screen door and this project will be finished.  Good thing too, because although I like painting, I’m not too fond of painting doors.

Yesterday, I did do a . . . → Read More: 31 Goals in 31 Days – Day 12 – The Dream Board

31 Goals in 31 Days – Day 3 – Finish A Book

It’s day 3 of the 31 Goals in 31 Days Challenge and yesterday I had another productive day.  As you might remember, day 1 was to update my Master To Do List, and day 2 was to update my prospect list and call 5 people.

As often happens, just updating the Master To Do List is enough to start the ball rolling in the area of productivity.  So, while I completed 14 items off the list on day 1, I was also able to complete 17 additional items on day 2.  Now, the pace won’t be like this forever, . . . → Read More: 31 Goals in 31 Days – Day 3 – Finish A Book

31 Goals in 31 Days Challenge

Okay, so I’ve been mulling over doing this type of challenge ever since my brother David started his 100 goals in 100 days.  He’s right in the middle at this point, and honestly, reading his posts makes me feel guilty for not doing something like it!

So, here’s the concept:  Over the next 31 days (I have a home business based on Proverbs 31, so I went with the number 31!), I will have 31 goals (one a day) that I will complete.  And, to hold me accountable, I’ll blog about my goals every day.  I opted for a . . . → Read More: 31 Goals in 31 Days Challenge

Simplify Your Business Tasks

So often we get overwhelmed by the sheer number of tasks that have to be done every week to keep our business up and running.  But, the question you need to ask your self is, “Is what I am doing the best use of my time?”

This question is my mantra, and I ask myself this throughout the day to make sure that my actions are on track with my values and goals.  But, how do you know if it’s the best use of your time?

Do this little activity:

100 Goals in 100 Days

With the new year upon us many look to make huge “new year’s resolutions” and often those big ideas last for a few weeks and then they are gone.  Well, here’s a new idea.  How about 100 small goals to be accomplished in 100 days?  That’s exactly what my brother, David Lunsford (also a self-employed entrepreneur) is doing, and he is blogging about his experiences.

You can start this at any time, and all of the 100 goals don’t have to be earth-moving and mind-shattering.  Simple things like drinking more water, doing better oral hygiene, and apologizing has been . . . → Read More: 100 Goals in 100 Days

2009 Year In Review and 2010 Future Planning

Well, it’s that time of the year again!  Time to reflect on what you have achieved in 2009 and what you will set as goals for achievement in 2010.

I love to take the week after Christmas and schedule some time for reflection and planning, since it seems to be a low activity week (for me at least!).

Here’s what I do.

First, ask yourself what you achieved in 2009.  Analyze every area: personal, business, financial, health, family, relationships, spiritual, etc.  Write a list of things that you achieved in 2009 in each of those categories.  It doesn’t matter . . . → Read More: 2009 Year In Review and 2010 Future Planning
