Save Time And Money With Menu Planning

Menu planning is something I used to do quite often (albeit loosely), but I have strayed recently.  So, I’m getting back on track, since menu planning is something that you can do that is not only easy, but will also save you time and money.

I like to plan my menu for an entire month at a time, since I am usually grocery shopping only once a month.

First, I take stock of what I already have in my pantry.  This step must be first!  Most people plan the menu, then look to see what they already have in . . . → Read More: Save Time And Money With Menu Planning

10 Steps to Creating a Healthy Home

On one hand, I run an organization and time management coaching company, OrganizeNOW.  And, on the other hand, I have a doctorate degree and did research in infectious diseases for years.  This lead to my quest on finding healthier alternatives, and discovering Norwex.

I realized long ago that the easiest thing to control is our own environment, namely, our home.  We can also control what food we put in our bodies (but that’s a topic for another day…go watch the movie Food, Inc.).

In helping people manage their time, one of the biggest complaints is the regular things that . . . → Read More: 10 Steps to Creating a Healthy Home

Build Your Own Planner

One of the foundational teachings that I constantly am telling others is that they must plan their day, they must own a planner, and they must carry it with them at all times. Then, when someone makes an appointment with them, they have it with them (at all times) to be able to make note of the appointment immediately!

So, great in theory, but I have always had one tiny problem – I don’t like all of the planners out there!  I’ve often debated about just designing and making my own planner to suit my needs (and that still . . . → Read More: Build Your Own Planner

Clear Out The Clutter Challenge Week!

I’ve been reading over at MoneySavingMom.com (one of my favorite blogs for some great deals), and she recently had a Clear Out The Clutter Challenge.

Well, as you can imagine, as I was looking at her before and after pictures, I was impressed, and inspired.  Inspired enough to look around and notice that I need my own “spring cleaning”.  So, next week the children are on spring break and we are going to have our very own Clear Out The Clutter Challenge Week!

Now, normally, I would not suggest that you try to declutter your entire home in a . . . → Read More: Clear Out The Clutter Challenge Week!

31 Goals in 31 Days – The Recap

What an amazing adventure the 31 Goals in 31 Days Challenge has been!  I have been able to accomplish many things, and while some others are still “works in progress”, overall it was a great experience both personally and in my businesses.

I thought I would recap each of the 31 days so this will be a bit of a long post, and I’ll also let you know how I’m doing now toward these goals and what the outcome was.  So, here we go…

31 Goals in 31 Days – Day 28 – Write an Article

I am so excited to be speaking on an upcoming Networking University Webinar on May 5th and so today’s goal was to write an article on the topic for my webinar, which is “Organize for Success: Increase Productivity and Profit by Managing Your Time and Space”.

I also put together the powerpoint presentation for the webinar, so I’m all set.

The great news is that YOU can attend my webinar for FREE!  So, go on over to Networking University and register today (NOTE: the webinar is over, but you can access the recording as well as the article HERE)!  . . . → Read More: 31 Goals in 31 Days – Day 28 – Write an Article

31 Goals in 31 Days – Day 21 – Relax and Recharge

Ahhh…all of the hard work has finally caught up to me.  After working on weekend projects, organizing, decluttering, reading books, calling prospects, working my businesses, recording videos, editing web pages, making gifts, and just accomplishing a LOT of stuff in the past 20 days, I am tired.  Happy and productive, but tired (really, this is my own fault, as I have not been sticking to my bedtime).

So, today’s goal is simple.  Relax and recharge.  I’m going to do something relaxing every week.  Whether that is taking a luxurious bubble bath while listening to Beethoven, or taking a nap, . . . → Read More: 31 Goals in 31 Days – Day 21 – Relax and Recharge

31 Goals in 31 Days – Day 20 – Organize

Today’s goal is all about organizing.  I love to organize, declutter, simplify!  So much so that I have noticed that many items on my Master To Do List are organization related.

You may remember that I pulled all of my weekend project ideas out to create a sublist within my Master To Do List, so that it would be easier to see what needs to be done more immediately.  Well, now that all of the projects are off the list, I’ve noticed that probably half of what remains is organization related.

So, today’s goal is to pull those items . . . → Read More: 31 Goals in 31 Days – Day 20 – Organize

31 Goals in 31 Days – Day 14 – Modular Day

Recently, my brother wrote a post about creating a Modular Day for his 100 Goals in 100 Days Challenge.  This got me thinking.  Long ago, and before children, I actually did follow what he was suggesting by creating a Modular Day (although I didn’t call it that).

Today, as my goal, I’m going to revisit this concept, because having a list of things to do in certain times during your day, a routine of sorts, makes it easier to accomplish what you need to do and also speeds up the process since you already know what comes next, without . . . → Read More: 31 Goals in 31 Days – Day 14 – Modular Day
